Warehouse Operative – 12 Month FTC

Are you looking for full time Warehouse work? If so, we have a fixed term contract for 12 months as a Warehouse Operative assisting the Warehouse Manager. Maintaining an effective and efficient warehouse, by ensuring good stock control and to ensure all orders are picked and packed correctly and on time for dispatch to customers.

Salary - £21,000 Per Annum

Hours – 7:15am – 4pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Effective maintenance of inventory records on ERP system (Sage 500) through accurate goods receipt and dispatch processing, paying particular attention to lot numbers, and expiry dates
  • Allocate and issue stock, print picking lists, pack goods and confirm despatch notes for all orders ranging from single boxes to multiple pallet loads for UK and European customers
  • Schedule dispatches on UPS and TNT in-house booking systems, print and apply tracking labels
  • Actively participate in daily PI count activities and quarterly stock counts
  • Receiving and inspection of palletized goods and individual boxes to include Quality checks and lot number/expiry date validation
  • Locate new deliveries within specific warehouse bin locations
  • Identify opportunities for improving performance within the warehouse operation against key metrics
  • Monitor and maintain health and safety in the workplace
  • Any other reasonable duty requested by either the Production management team or other members of Senior Management
  • Engage in ongoing training and share knowledge with other team members
  • Maintain good time keeping and high standard of housekeeping
  • Keep up to date with Quality Manual

Ideal Candidate

  • Fully trained and competent in Warehouse tasks or relevant experience in other fields
  • Experience of operating ERP system, preferably Sage 500 and confident with Microsoft Outlook
  • Fork lift experience would be advantageous
  • Physical lifting and moving of parts / boxes required
  • Good communication skills, approachable and confident to work as an individual or as part of a team ensuring high quality work is maintained at all times
  • Attention to detail and positive approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work accurately in fast paced environment
