Technical Administrator

Job Description

One to one are recruiting on behalf of a technology company for an experienced administrator to support customer contracts, technology deployment projects, software commissioning and ongoing customer and internal team support. With your excellent communication and administration experience you will be able to:

 

1. Provide post technology deployment commissioning– entering data labelling and carrying out software platform setup for each customer site using the software platform.

2. Add photos, trace site plans and other information into a cloud software platform.

3. Answer company telephones and arrange staff diaries

4. Provide support to the Tech Ops managers and Contracts/Projects Managers.

5. Provide 1st line technical support to customers – taking enquiries by phone and email

6. Manage with problems for onsite issues, faults and software platform queries.

7. Ask questions about customer issues and explain possible solutions

8. Dealing with common or basic technical issues such as resetting passwords

9. Updating knowledge bases with details of common problems which customers can view online

10. Using helpdesk software to log calls with descriptions of issues, progress and solutions

11. Escalate calls to a team of 2nd line support staff if the problem is more complex

 

Our ideal candidate has excellent administration skills, is quick to learn new software packages, has excellent attention to detail and superb communication skills.

This is a full time, permanent role is based in Derby. 

Salary and benefits: £21,000, 25 days holiday, mobile phone, laptop.

 

Skills and qualifications required for this role:

1. Excellent IT skills

2. Basic understanding of electrical metrics such as kWh, kW, kVA, Voltage and Amps would be helpful but not essential.

3. Ability to work well from initiative.

4. Basic understanding of electrical installation, smart metering, BMS and IoT industries

5. Experience within SaaS and/or software businesses ideally in the energy, IoT or facilities management space ideal but not essential.

6. Great attitude and willingness to learn
