Job Description

Stock Controller

Are you experienced with working in stock control, replenishment and distribution? If so, we have an excellent opportunity with our client based in Southend as a Stock Controller.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Control

 

·        Responsible for ensuring new and refurbished stock is correctly picked, issued and received.
·        To maintain the storeroom and the allocation of space for stock.
·        Resolve day to day issues relating to stock availability and product quality/ specification
·        To control consumable, chemical and flammable items ensuring that the paperwork is correctly documented and logged.
·        Ensure all inventory and stock management systems are maintained accurately, within the agreed parameters and in a timely manner.
·        Responsible for conducting annual and interim stock checks in conjunction with the Administration Team as and when required.

 

 

Purchasing

 

·        Develop and maintain key relationships with manufactures and subcontractors, highlighting any performance issues to Endoscopy Management.

·        To source and coordinate stock purchases.

·        Perform other duties as required which are appropriate to the post, including administration and monitoring.

 

General

 

·        To gain and develop a competent understanding of the products within the department and the service which the team deliver.

·        Take a proactive approach to ensure best practice is maintained and built

·        Conform to the company’s system and support improvement in policies and procedures.

·        Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.

·        To understand and participate in delivering the Company’s goals and

objectives.

·        To flexibly work as part of the team and also independently with little supervision.

 

 

Health & Safety

 

·        All individuals have a responsibility, under the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and subsequently published regulations, to ensure that the Company’s health and safety policies and procedures are complied with to maintain a safe working environment.

·        To take reasonable care to prevent injury to themselves or others who may be affected by their acts or omissions.

Salary - £21,00 Plus Benefits  

  • DIS Scheme after 6 months – 4 times salary
