Key Account Manager (North) £42,000 + Commission

We are proud to be representing one of the UK's most well-respected membership organisations in the search for an experienced Regional Key Account Manager with a track record of business development, account management and managing a team of people.

This exciting opportunity carries the responsibility to develop and manage new and ongoing existing membership accounts with key clients in the North of the UK.

As the Key Account Manager (North), you will not only drive new and existing corporate memberships in an industry sector that contributes nearly £40 billon per annum to the UK economy. You will also be responsible for a small team of Account Managers who look after smaller regional accounts, so supervisory or management experience is essential.

The role of the Key Account Manager (North) is a new role that is supported by a  team of[AB1]  directors with a wealth of knowledge and experience in this people oriented industry that is intrinsic to sustainable businesses growth up and down the UK.

Main purpose of the role and key tasks

  • Provide day to day line management to the Regional Sales and Account Management teams to meet targets for revenue, member growth, retention and profitability
  • Understand the challenges faced by the members and offer ways to support them with a range of services and products
  • You will be responsible for the implementation and performance of regional membership activities within market sectors
  • To implement strategies to help increase the penetration of commercial products and services
  • Contribute to the development of training and educational programs for members of your team
  • Provide internal feedback to the directors to help ensure members products meet customer needs
  • Provide member feedback and insight to help improve and develop member products and services
  • Create and manage relationships with key decision makers within large client accounts, ensuring mutually beneficial business relationships are developed and maintained by regular telephone, email and face to face meetings
  • Investigating and resolving queries as and when they arise

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in commercial contract negotiation with corporate organisations
  • Experience in client liaison, either from the trade membership sector or a commercial organisation involved with affiliate partnerships
  • The ability to develop and manage mutually beneficial commercial relationships
  • The experience and self-confidence to ensure internal departments are promoting services on behalf of the partners
  • Proven ability to work to targets and KPIs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to confidently deal with people at all levels
  • Demonstrable business awareness and acumen
  • Experience in customer care and customer service
  • You will be a natural problem solver with a commercial awareness that benefits all stakeholders, ensuring a positive outcome for all parties.
  • You will also be a driven individual with a passion for getting results
  • Be willing to travel around the UK from time to time as needed
