Regional Account Manager £32,000 + Commission

We are proud to be representing one of the UK's most well-respected membership organisations in the search for an experienced Regional Account Manager with a track record of business development, account management and great customer service.

This exciting London based opportunity carries the responsibility to develop and manage new and ongoing existing membership accounts with SME clients in the South of the UK.

As the Regional Account Manager, you will drive new and existing memberships in an industry sector that contributes nearly £40 billon per annum to the UK economy and supports the core business function in the active promotion of its products and services.

The role of the Regional Account Manager is a new role that is supported by a management team and an experienced team of directors with a wealth of knowledge in a people-oriented industry that is intrinsic to sustainable businesses growth across the UK.

Main Purpose of the role and Key Tasks

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of existing corporate members, building strong customer relationships ensuring that customer needs are recognised and met
  • Help develop and implement an account development plan incorporating call cycles and meetings within your sales territory in line with profitability targets
  • Engage with members to promote awareness of business initiatives and campaigns and minimise member attrition
  • Implement plans to increase penetration of commercial products and services within your region to meet revenue, growth, and retention targets
  • Provide internal feedback to the management team to help ensure products and services meet customer needs
  • Help manage customer administration by communicating with the operational and financed department using the in-house CRM
  • Monitor customer loyalty and satisfaction and identify business risks and take appropriate action to help implement recovery plans
  • Investigate and resolve queries and issues as and when they arise

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven success of working in a similar commercial role as an Account Manager
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a track record of growing new and existing business within an account portfolio
  • Demonstrable business awareness and acumen
  • Have a natural flair for customer care and be able to successfully communicate with key decision makers and business owners
  • Have excellent business development and negotiation skills
  • You will be a driven individual with confidence and good commercial awareness
  • You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Including the ability to confidently engage with people from all walks of life
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure and establish ways to level off peaks and troughs of activity
  • Be willing to travel around the UK from time to time as needed
  • Above all, you will be a people person who enjoys working with others in a people-oriented industry
