Job Description

Process Operator

Are you looking for full time permanent position? If so, we have an exciting position based in Grays as a Process Operator , you will be responsible for monitoring equipment and improving the quality, efficiency and safety of the manufacturing plant.

£12.92 Per Hour

As this is a 24/7 site you are required to work on a shift rota basis which will include shifts covering nights and weekends. Ideally a driver with your own transport due to the location.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Packing and storing finished batches
  • Reading instruments and making adjustments to settings as required
  • Manual operation of valves, pumps and set points.
  • Taking scheduled samples for lab or on plant self-analysis.
  • Supervision of goods in and out, including loading unloading of road tankers and using forklift trucks.
  • Physical data logging onto paper records for archiving.
  • Some manual work including cleaning and replacing filters etc.
  • Ensure that any problems are reported to the relevant manager/department immediately
  • Ensure that personal protective clothing is worn at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual employment obligations.
  • Ensure compliance with our ISO standards.
  • Fully participate in the company's performance management and development programmes.

Ideal Candidate

  • Self-motivated and positive
  • Accurate and diligent with a close eye for detail
  • Proactive with excellent communication skills,
  • Happy working in an industrial environment on shifts, inside and outside, in all weathers. 
  • Previous Industrial/Manufacturing Process experience beneficial (but not essential)
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload
  • Strong work and team-working ethos and the ability to multi task. Happy to carry out all aspects of the role including more menial tasks (e.g., Stock Management and Housekeeping)
