Materials Planner - Permanent/full-time opportunity

Up to £40k basic + excellent benefits


Excellent permanent job opportunity for a Materials Planner with proven materials planning/management experience, utilising effective market analysis skills, with an established and successful engineering and manufacturing business in Essex.

The role:


Responsibilities include:

  • Construct a detailed global inventory/supply logistics plan within SAP that defines global aftermarket stocking requirements,
  • Maintain the above in order to ensure that any evolving/emerging requirements are captured and accounted for,
  • Ensure that coding/classification parameters within SAP have been optimised in order to allow for accurate levels of automation within the scheduling process
  • Ensure that, where required, recovery actions are adopted by the applicable elements of the supply chain and completed in accordance with the established timeframe,
  • Ensure that requirements are fully captured within supply chain production plans and that sufficient levels of resource have been correctly aligned,
  • Ensure that customer hardware related deliverables are serviced from the most appropriate global location,
  • Ensure a full set of appropriate analytics is performed
  • Ensure that the levels of automated demand flow between global locations are accurate and appropriate,
  • Full maintenance of arms-length trading between companies and plants,


The candidate:


Is this you?

  • GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at Grade C or above,
  • Material management and market analysis experience,
  • Good general IT skills including use of MS Office suite
  • Experience of using SAP would be a distinct advantage
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Good commercial awareness and numeracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Living within a reasonable commute to South East Essex
