IT Support Analyst – Basildon

The role

Support the continuous improvement strategy of Business Systems and Processes

  • Ongoing review of systems, processes, procedures and controls
  • Improve the efficiency of end-to-end business processes.
  • Ensure compliance, reduce risk, and improve security.       
  • Ensure all processes are fully/clearly documented. Undertaken in conjunction with third party provider to ensure best outcome for the business.

 

Support day to day delivery IT applications, communications, and processes.

  • Ensure adequate configuration, security, reporting, maintenance, and support
  • Support the cyber-security resources Management of MFA / DUO solutions
  • Support users operational complexities (proficient in MS Office)
  • Assist provider on Network maintenance issues / approach (inc Firewalls, switches and routers).

 

Manage day to day support of hardware/ Devices (PC’s, laptops, Ipads, mobiles, VOIP, A/V conf, network, etc)

  • Ensure ancillary hardware is fit for purpose, joined up approach, with auditable inventory
  • Manage communication systems hardware
  • Ensure back up solutions are sufficient for organisation, enabling timely and effective recovery
  • Quarantine PC

 

Project management of small/medium projects

  • Control day to day activities and drive of projects. Ensuring delivery in accordance with plan, time, budget
  • Manage communication ensuring Senior Management/sponsors are aware of project status (RAID), actions are owned and delivered by individual contributors!
  • Technical problem solving to overcome obstacles.
  • Ensure projects are sufficiently/clearly documented.

 

To undertake any other duties within your skills confidence to support the attainment of the Clients key objectives

  • Ensure continuous improvement of role and development of self.
  • Seek to continuously improve the quality and value of administrative support provided by working with key colleagues.

 

Adherence with governance, regulatory/ business compliance responsibilities, inc. 

  • Responsible for positively contributing to a safe work environment to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure governance obligations, eg Protecting personal information in adherence GDPR etc.
  • Complete all mandatory Health and Safety training and any corporate refresher training where required.

 

Responsible for coordinating and communication

  • Support other administrative teams, to help ease demand and/or as required.
  • Enable clear communication to help ensure that the key objectives for the wider team are achieved.

Is this you? 

If you have a background in IT Support and are proficient in MS Office and have advanced Excel Inc VBA Macros etc, VOIP, excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and are a true team player, ideally with an ITIL certificate then this role could be the one for you.
