Head of Compliance and Quality Assurance   

Have you worked for an awarding body before?  Do you specialise in compliance and quality assurance with some experience in further education through membership bodies?  If so, we might have a perfect opportunity to further your career with one of the UK largest awarding bodies and accreditation providers near Hammersmith, West London.

This role is being marketed either as an interim contract or permanent employment.

What we are looking for

You will be experienced in risk-based compliance, quality assurance and familiar with Ofqual’s Conditions of Recognition, including the approval, quality assurance and monitoring of approved training centres and their delivery of qualifications.  

Your day to day duties will include

  • The documentation and maintenance of risk-based strategies across all qualifications and associated centres in line with Ofqual Conditions of Recognition
  • Managing the approval process and quality assurance of approved centres 
  • The recruitment, training and management of Regional Quality Assurers
  • Planning of compliance activity
  • Ensuring centres meet the expected standards and criteria as directed
  • Provision of maintenance, monitoring and feedback of activity to training centres
  • Providing advice and support to training centres.
  • Managing complaints
  • Providing relevant operational support to the management team
  • Preparation of reports

You will need to have

  • A Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Strong written and verbal investigative skills
  • The ability to assimilate information quickly and make sound decisions
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Diplomacy and integrity
  • Excel and data processing skills
  • Knowledge of the Portico Quartz system
  • Familiarity with Ofqual Conditions of Recognition
  • Experience of working for an awarding body or regulatory body
  • Experience of quality assurance and compliance activities
