Service Support Buyer (EBME)

Are you experienced in buying and procurement and looking for a full-time permanent opportunity? If so, we have an exciting new opportunity with our successful client based in Theale, for a buyer in their EBME/Biomed Department.

Benefits

  • Salary £25,000 per annum
  • Royal London Pension - 5% employer contribution
  • Death in Service Scheme after probation - 4 times salary
  • Maternity - 21 weeks full enhanced maternity pay, this is inclusive of Statutory Maternity pay. Plus, after the employee has returned from Maternity Leave for 3 months, a 10% bonus will be paid, (with a commitment to work for 6 months plus).

Responsibilities

  • Buying and performance managing service contracts as tasked by the Procurement Service Manager
  • Managing daily EBME/Biomed service parts orders, and order related requests and queries
  • Assisting in project working, coordination and data management
  • Working with the EBME Buyers to build relationships with suppliers and work with them to deliver measurable KPIs
  • Any other duties as agreed with Procurement Service Manager and Head of Procurement
  • Resources/decision making authority
  • The EBME Service Support Buyer will have delegated responsibility:
  • To release authorised POs
  • Control / mandate material flow in support of priority orders

Key Accountabilities

  • Managing EMBE Service contract records
  • Ensuring EBME service parts are procured in line with requirements from engineering operations
  • Tracking high value parts procured in support of UKI operations

Performance Indicators

  • Accuracy of EBME service contract records
  • Timely completion of POs

Qualifications

  • CIPS qualified or working towards - Desirable

Skills

  • Proven ability to work successfully in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary environment - Desirable
  • Ability to communicate effectively - Desirable
  • Organised with an attention to detail - Desirable

Experience

  • Experience of working in a Procurement Environment - Essential
  • Experience of working with a complex database - Essential
  • Knowledge and experience of biomedical and endoscopy devices – Desirable
