Our client is a long-established and unique organisation, entering an exciting new phase in its history.  They now have an excellent career opportunity for a suitably experienced Communications Executive, who, as a key point of contact for its membership, will play a vital support role in the new strategic development of their communications and marketing strategy.


Reporting into the Communications Manager, and based at their modern Central-London Headquarters, the newly created Communications Executive role offers the chance to join the UKs largest charitable, secular (non-religious) Membership Organisation, working closely with its 200,000 strong members.

Key responsibilities of the Communications Executive role will include:

  • Supporting the Communications Manager to develop and implement strategies to build recruitment and aid retention of members, and to improve the member experience
  • Track member activity and report stats back to the Communications Manager
  • Continuously improve a member’s experience, ensuring team members are effectively supported with data analysis, materials and impact stories, for use during face-to-face, over-the-phone and email communications
  • Act as one of the central points of contact for regional Communications Officers
  • Assist the Communications Manager in the development of the new member website
  • Write and collate blogs, and create website content to engage members


The successful applicant will have:

  • Proven capability and flair within a corporate membership communications role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work closely with the existing team and key partners
  • A flexible approach, both, to the type of work undertaken and working hours required
  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude and excellent work ethic, demonstrating resilience and presenting a professional manner at all times
  • Creativity, with excellent copywriting and proof-reading skills (experience in Mailchimp, WordPress and Adobe Creative Suite is desirable)
