CNC Setter Operator (Milling) – Permanent/full-time

Up to £13.97 per hour (£28, 310 per annum) plus benefits!

Do you have proven Setter Operator experience as a CNC Miller?

An established and successful design and manufacturing business in the Southend-On-Sea area of Essex has a new permanent job opportunity for a CNC Miller in their state-of-the-art manufacturing division.

Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and on Friday 8am to 1pm for day shift

Monday to Thursday 5.30pm to 2.30am and on Friday 3.30pm to 8.30pm for night shift

Day and Nights shifts available 39 hrs per week no weekends

The role:

  • Setting/operating and manufacturing a variety of small-batch components from engineering drawings to within tight limits,
  • Setting a variety of CNC Machine Tools for operators as and when required (e.g. Mazak),
  • Using a wide range of measuring equipment to check small-batch components after manufacture,
  • Maintaining quality
  • Making sure that manufactured product is suitably protected for transit,
  • Working in the order of the manufacturing plan at all times,
  • Ensure that all manufacturing paperwork is filled out correctly,

The candidate:

  • Proven CNC milling experience and competence
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, set CNC Milling machines and use measuring equipment
  • Able to convert between metric and imperial
  • English, Maths & Science GCSE, (or equivalent) at grade C or above
  • Living within a reasonable commute to Southend (Essex)
  • Able to live and work in the UK without restriction
